My son has just started playing the flute and we got this flute rather than hiring one for him as it is so reasonably priced. His flute teacher says it has a lovely sound and we are very pleased with it

The JP011 flute has been an excellent choice as a first flute for our granddaughter.
It is a very well made instrument, carefully designed for beginners, and is also very reliable for progressing to higher grades.
Great value for money.

My 10 year old daughter saved her pocket money for this after using an old 'much loved and used' instrument at school...what a difference it has made to her playing and motivation. It's a manageable size, the case is great for organising everything, and the price will allow us to replace it with something more advanced in a couple of years (although it's probably well up to the job for longer than that). I've given it a four rating because,at the end of the day, it is a budget option, but there's no doubt, for us, it's a great one.

This is a good size flute for a beginner. My fingers can reach all the keys easily and I was able to blow a good sounding note the first day I got it. It is not too long so I can sit correctly while playing, and the case is the right size and colourful, so I don't mind people seeing me carry it at school. Douglas, Age 10
